Historic Site Comes To Life
This 4,000 square foot home is
located in a wooded area near the Yadkins River, which was a Revolutionary War-era battle site. The residence
is composed of cantilevered glue-laminated beams bolted to wood-framed towers.
The Blending of Architecture + Forest

The home's wood-frame construction blends with its wooded surroundings, including large expanses of glass that bring the forest into the living experience
+
A large Master Bedroom Suite on the upper floor and a cantilevered Living Room surrounded by decks allow full enjoyment of the wooded hillside
+
Large expanses of glass afford unobstructed views of the surrounding woods and nearby creek
A Jewel Box Interior Radiating Intimacy
+
Fine wood detailing throughout the house creates a jewel box quality as the pieces all interconnect
+
The use of redwood siding brings warmth and intimacy to the interior, yet there is an openness between rooms
